Cleaning Your Cats Eyes

When adopting Benjy we knew we had to take special care with him because of his infected eyes. His previous owner did not take proper care of our beloved Benjy, therefore, he has severe eye infections. Luckily with the right medication, Benjy's eyes are healing.

It is so important to take care the health of your pet, especially their vision. We have found simple solutions to clean your cat's eyes, which is both inexpensive and quick.

Items you'll need:
Baby oil, cotton balls, and a small dish.

You can purchase these items at the 99 Cents or Dollar tree.

1. Put some baby oil on the dish

2. Then dip the cotton ball inside the dish

3. Gently hold your cat and wipe the cotton ball away from the eye.

Tip: Remember do not use the same cotton ball for both eyes! To prevent infections, using new cotton balls for each eye is best, because if you use the same cotton ball, infection can be transmitted from one eye to another. Do this at least once a day in order to prevent a serious eye infection. If you have any questions please contact your family vet.
