Foods to avoid to keep your pet safe.

Even though we are not experts, we have researched and talked to animal specialist of what type of foods that Dogs and Cats should avoid eating. Here is what we found:

Dogs: Foods to AVOID
  • Chocolate: Due to the content of caffeine, theobromine, and theophylline, chocolate is dangerous for a dog’s heart and nervous system.
  • Chicken or Fish bones: Both chicken and fish bones are brittle and can easily make a dog choke or worse puncture holes in their digestive tracks.
  • Grapes, Raisins, Prunes: We’ve had a personal encounter with this one. Once we fed Lady Gaga a grape and she began having a seizure. The vet told us never ever feed dogs grapes because they contain an unknown toxin.
  • Mushrooms: Has toxins that may cause shock and sudden death.
  • Onions and Garlic: Both attack red blood cells which may cause anemia.
  • Avocado: Causes an allergic reactions to dogs

Cats: Food to AVOID
  • Chocolate: Due to the content of caffeine, theobromine, and theophylline, chocolate is dangerous for a cat’s heart and nervous system.
  • Chicken or Fish bones: Both chicken and fish bones are brittle and can easily make a cat choke or worse puncture holes in their digestive tracks.
  • Macadamia Nuts: Unknown toxin which attacks the digestive and nervous system.
  • Canned Tuna for Humans: Lacks vitamins and minerals for cats and may cause malnutrition.
