Traveling from country to country, remodeling a family member’s house, job searching, researching, and applying to professional schools has my schedule filled up to the maximum capacity. As the weeks passed, I realized that my dogs need some priority in my life. Of course I feed them, change their water daily, and pick up their poop, however, through researching and watching/talking to animal trainers, I realized I need to make more time for my pets. I don’t mean they are going to be the center of my life, however, as a responsible dog owner, it is my duty to continue with their training on a daily bases.
Anyway, when traveling to Mexico, I realized how well Glinda and Lady Gaga were behaving. They never begged for food when we were eating, when asked to go or stay outside, they listened. Glinda and Lady Gaga’s actions left me speechless and very proud of them.
I also took notice on what I need to work on with them. Lady Gaga is still timid of strangers and she will not eat in front of me. Glinda, loves people, but tries to dominate other dogs three times her size. Their social issues have caused me headaches and at times frustration, however, I have to learn they are only dogs and their psychological mentality is different from ours.
Their training schedule is going to change and so is mine. I will be updating tips on how to successfully train your dog.Wish me luck!
