This past week has been a roller coaster. A couple of days ago our beloved Benjy was attached. We suspect it was a dog because his open wounds looked too big for a cat to do. Now my father is concerned for Benjy’s safety, so he asked me to start looking for a new home for Benjy. I want to argue with my dad and say, “Hey Benjy’s my cat!!! I want him to stay.” I know Benjy is loved here, however, it will be best if we find him another home where he can live inside 24/7. I will take my time on this to make sure his new owners are responsible and caring. Writing this already breaks my heart because Benjy has been the best cat I’ve ever had. He never bit me and only scratches me when he’s trying to avoid his bath.
Today I decided to take pictures of the girls and their new haircuts. When I was doing this one of my neighbors decided to use our driveway to get on the sidewalk with his electric wheelchair. The sound the wheelchair electric wheelchair startled Lady Gaga so she ran through our gate and near our neighbor. She barked like a mad woman, and then of course Glinda went along with her. At that precise moment, my neighbor decided to let their dog out which is a German Sheppard. Lady Gaga’s anxiety triggered the German Sheppard to go into attack mode…which she did. Lady Gaga was able to get away, but Glinda was under the German Sheppard and I had to separate the both of them. The German Sheppard calmed down; however, Glinda began limping… apparently the German Sheppard bit Glinda’s paw. Luckily the wound is not deep, so we put Alcohol and neosproen.
Lesson Learned: Have all dogs on a leash at all times. Only handle one dog at a time.
